The Director, Health Economics & Payer Relations manages all regional payer activities for six regional territories across the country for Hologic’s regional payers by performing the following duties personally or through leading, motivating and supporting regional payer managers and payer activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct staffing, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and career development planning for regional payer team

  • Develop and achieve strategic initiatives for payer coverage and payment for the six regions

  • Assist regional payer managers where appropriate in the coverage and payment initiatives of the regional payers

  • Monitor and assess payer trends for regional payers and inform business units of critical payer data for future business planning

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to increase awareness of regional issues and assist in business planning for strategic accounts

  • Develop business plans and strategies and direct team engagement for increased relationships within the payer

  • Monitor expenditures of region to confirm to budgetary requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience, MBA is a plus

Experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years related payer experience required

  • Previous management experience required

Specialized knowledge

  • Expertise in Microsoft Windows and Office, specifically in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Other popular business software expertise a plus

Additional details

  • Since this position requires you to drive extensively during the work day, a valid driving license and driving record satisfactory to the Company, as well as a serviceable vehicle available for work use is mandatory

  • Overnight travel required 50-60%
