The Head of Access Manager DACH is responsible for defining the Hologic DACH regional market access approach with the aim of ensuring strong brand uptake and accelerated growth for key Hologic products across the 3 Hologic divisions (Diagnostics, Surgical, and Breast Imaging).
This role will lead the overall Market access strategy for the DACH Region, execute the strategy (policy, guidance, service redesign, health economics and advocacy) and manage various stakeholders to enable access to funding, finding a favourable policy and guideline environment for the use and uptake of Hologic products in the DACH Region.
Duties & responsibilities:
Strategic Initiatives and Execution
Accountable to define and execute the Market Access strategy and by pro-actively identifying and effectively communicating market access opportunities and priorities through effective planning and development of financially sound business proposals.
Play a key role in developing pre-launch plans and securing resources to support effective preparations for launching new products.
Monitor current trends in country health care systems – public and private - detecting possible consequences and impact specific to Hologic products as well as competition.
Gather intelligence and provide education and consultation to business units on health economic and competitive trends, the reimbursement environment and developing and driving respective reimbursement projects directly or via consultant agencies.
Develop, implement and manage tactical planning activities and tools required to achieve reimbursement expectations (e.g. customer billing guides, payment support) with comprehensive understanding of the following:
Patient flow potential/route to patient access
Physicians’ impact on process (characteristics and potential)
Map funding stakeholders’ environment
Synthesize results of market research to derive business insights and develop ‘value’ dossiers.
Impact of competition strategies and other obstacles
Acts as an expert on strategic value pricing.
Be responsible for overseeing local adaptation of global/Regional ‘market access’ materials e.g. value repositories, cost effectiveness models, budget impact models etc.
Communications, Liaison and Cross Functional Activities
Influence national reimbursement decisions, screening policies and public healthcare policies.
Participate in regional EMEA meetings and discussions to develop strategies for products along with other in-house parties and consultants.
Be responsible for liaising with European colleagues and external stakeholders in order to benefit from their expertise.
Demonstrates the clinical and economic evidence to healthcare decision-makers and payers through Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) information.
Build strong relationships across the organization and with industry peers by engaging with industry associations, participating in local - as well as European meetings - to strengthen the Company’s image, competitive position and performance.
Establish productive relationships with health economic opinions leaders and reimbursement agencies.
In collaboration with local and regional Marketing colleagues/departments initiate and organize Public Relation campaigns and high level events e.g. advisory boards, stakeholder summit meetings, to support market access activities.
Provide – in close cooperation with marketing colleagues – support and guidance to field based activities (sales, applications) including the production of materials to support local commissioning of products.
Master degree is required, preferable in Health Economics, MBA is preferred.
Reimbursement/market access management experience including a track record of driving strategic initiatives experience with healthcare organisation (Devices, Pharma, or Diagnostics).
Experience in working with Health Economic and system costs models.
Experience of working with KOLs, thought leaders, medical societies, lobbying organizations, payers, and HTA organisations.
Strong experience in governmental affairs with in Germany.
Experience in working in a cross functional team environment with strong interpersonal skills to influence others toward business results including Sales/Marketing, Operation, International Management, Medical Affairs, R&D and Training.
Strong project management, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and stakeholders through matrix leadership
Excellent command of English and German (spoken/written)
