Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
The Health Economics Director will develop effective strategies to optimize reimbursement and coverage for all the Hologic Businees Units.

Primary Responsibilities
* Responsible for development and communication of the strategy in collaboration with the National Director to ensure optimized coverage and reimbursement for Hologic products and future acquired products are used in collaboration with the managed care field team.
* The Manager, Health Economics will collaborate with the managed care and advocacy department, and product specific business unit marketing teams, to develop reimbursement strategies and programs specific to the product marketplace.
* Monitor and proactively impact policy developments, coding changes and Medicare Fee Schedule changes specific to Hologic products
* Maintain positive relationships with influential users, CMS, and key payer decision makers
* Design and implement reimbursement and communicate strategies to proactively leverage data to negotiate favorable policies with government (Medicare, Medicaid) and private payers on a regional level.
* Collaborate withthe Women’s Health/Managed Care, Clinical Affairs, and Marketing teams to develop government reimbursement strategies specific to the products and the product marketplace and to influence positive public policy and reimbursement decisions
* Work with the payer community on a national and regional level (Medicare, Medicaid,) and with key stakeholders in the medical community to guide implementation of externally focused strategies and programs when applicable.
* Provide education and consultation to business units on reimbursement trends and issues with recommendations for action.
* Develop, implement and managed tactical planning activities required to achieve reimbursement expectations (e.g. Technology Assessment Dossier, customer billing guides, site of service contracting payment support, promotional material to support positive coverage decisions)
* Direct and manage the development of tools to be utilized by the managed care team as well as by the field sales teams.
* Participate in corporate meetings to develop strategies for products along with other in house parties and consultants.
* Identify key outcomes planning needs for Hologic products as they relate to managed care, and engage the internal and external resources to develop plan.
* Provide reimbursement support to Managed Care team, sales force and customers
* Develop and deliver training sessions and materials for new hire sales classes
* May perform other duties assigned.
