Program Management Analyst R&D (Job Number: 170820)


This position provides critical support to the R&D Program Management organization to make the work processes more efficient and sustainable.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Systems owner for major innovation processes (Phase Gate, Metrics reporting). Including facilitation responsibilities for innovation process forums with senior management.

  • Responsible for data collection, integrity and status reporting across the innovation and sustaining project portfolio.

  • Subject matter expert on MS Project, Excel, Agile, SharePoint and other internal systems, developing and recommending consistent approaches for Program Managers to follow.

  • Develops, coordinates, and delivers training on Project Management best practices based on PMI framework and other sources.

  • Responsible for creation of key Program Management tools and templates to ensure consistency and best in class practices.

  • Support Director in business improvement efforts. Frequent updates to management on status of business process improvement efforts including opportunities and challenges to implementation.

  • The person in this role should have a continuous improvement mindset and can work independently and creatively to drive change.

  • Knowledge in Product Development or Project Management/Leadership. Demonstrated ability to lead teams successfully.

  • Knowledge of Design Control procedures.

  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement activity and change management (Six Sigma)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills especially in a matrix environment.

  • Must possess excellent relationship building skills with team members, peers, and senior leaders accessing their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information.

  • High degree of competency in Microsoft suite especially MS Project and Excel.


  • BS Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Business or Clinical Fields desired

  • PMP Certification desirable

  • Six Sigma desirable


  • 5+ years of experience in product development and/or project management.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and projects.

  • Experience with medical products preferred.

  • Experienced with working in a Program Management Organization (PMO) preferred.
