With limited supervision and reporting to Director, Human Resources, the Human Resources Representative 2 will serve as a key member of the Diagnostics Human Resources team. This role is the front line point of contact for HR needs including addressing walk-in needs, calls, and emails from both employees and supervisors at the San Diego site. The HR Employee Representative addresses issues and determines the escalation necessity in support of the HRBPs. Using sound judgment, appropriately gathers information and data on more difficult issues and inquiries in order to effectively route to the respective HRBP or HR Center of Expertise. The ability to identify the nature and severity of the request or issue, prioritize, and choose the best method of resolution in a sensitive and confidential manner is required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as initial point of contact regarding policies, procedures, employment verifications and job opportunities, benefit plans, retirement and 401K for new, current and former employees.
Respond to incoming employee or managerial questions and employee issues. Resolve the issue, when possible, using sound judgment and in a timely fashion and in accordance with Hologic’s policies and procedures.
For more difficult issues, gather pertinent information and ask necessary questions in order to escalate to the appropriate HRBP. Communicate findings and make recommendations for issue resolution and help guide decisions.
Assist HRBPs with organizational structure activities and data requests (i.e. Organizational Charts, Report Generation, etc.)
Create new hire onboarding “Welcome Binders” for Sr. Director Hires and above. Collect and maintain pertinent content and materials including relevant industry information, company and division literature, marketing materials, and other information relevant to the role.
In partnership with the designated HRBP, facilitate new hire on boarding “First Week” schedules including meet and greet calendar invites, lunch appointments, and scheduling meetings for new hire to attend.
Lead New Hire Orientation, verification and processing of New Hire paperwork, and liaison with supervisors and leaders to establish a positive start for new hires.
Create and update process documents to improve the departments operations and increase efficiency.
May perform administrative duties for the HR Department such as conducting research, updating templates, generating reports, and preparing materials.
May arrange meeting and conference attendance for department, scheduling appointments, and complete travel and conference arrangements.
Establishes and maintains Diagnostics HR record keeping and filing systems, classifies, sorts and files correspondence, records other documents as relevant.
Lead employee events, employee work/life balance programs, other corporate programs and virtual events.
Assists annual projects such as Talent Review, Succession Planning, Performance Review, and others by creating/updating/generating information and templates
Facilitate communications between site and corporate office
Responsible for site communications related to activities (i.e. massage, activities, new hires and special programs) using Hologic’s social media.
Expense reports for senior leaders within HR team.
Maintain calendar for HR meetings and events and VP HR Diagnostics.
Order office supplies and ensure HR suite is maintained at all times.

Intermediate skills with MS office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Taleo and SAP experience preferred but not required.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA)
2-4 years Human Resources experience
