Scope:

This role will be responsible for executing product and customer-facing initiatives while supporting initiatives that strengthen the product pipeline and improve customer market share, customer satisfaction, and profit margins for their assigned product category. S/he willcontribute to development of global brand strategies by supporting the Product Director in annual business planning and 5-year strategic planning process. The product portfolio for this position consists of image analytics software for breast imaging, including application of AI for cancer detection in mammography images.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Results - Achieve U.S.business plan objectives of sales, net income, gross profit, inventory andprice on an annual basis. Support needs of the International division in aGlobal Franchise model. Manage expenses within budget.

  • Market Fundamentals – Strongunderstanding of, and ability to apply, marketing fundamentals to deliverinsight driven innovation. Able toidentify and communicate customer needs and translate into productrequirements. Strong understanding of segmentation, targeting andpositioning. Able to develop compelling valuepropositions and ensure consistent and compelling messaging and claims.

  • Product Management – Effectively supportthe management of technically complex product lines to achieve defined businessobjectives. Manages lifecycle of product portfolio. Provides input into nextgeneration products. Manage the removal of products from market (obsolescence).

  • Customer Insights - Partner with MarketInsights to execute market research initiatives around customer needs andproduct validation. Provide product and market expertise to assist in theirexecution. Stay connected with market needs through frequent interaction withcustomers (co-travel with sales, attendance at industry meetings, reviewmedical journals, etc.).

  • Analytics – Support the development ofmarket opportunity assessments, pricing analysis, demand forecasting, and setgoals and track metrics of demand generation initiatives.

  • Tactical Execution – Work closelywith manager to assist in the development of business plans related to area offocus (i.e. business segment, product, region, etc.). Collaborate with otherfunctional areas to execute assigned areas of responsibility within the plan.Apply understanding of the sales process to develop well positioned marketmessaging that can drive customer behavior. Partner with the sales force andsales training to effectively deploy.

  • Product Development –Partner with GlobalStrategic Innovation and R&D counterparts to lead innovation process andproduct development programs. Responsible for contributing to product scope,providing design inputs, validating product design, and development of launchmessaging and materials, set configurations, etc. Leverage strong understandingof product development process and functional areas (quality, regulatory, etc.)to ensure on-time launches.

  • Product Launch – Responsiblefor supporting impactful worldwide product launches. Specific responsibilitiesinclude assisting in the development of marketing materials for all key stakeholders(salesforce, physicians, hospitals, patients, payers, etc.), price strategy,promotional plan, product training plan (salesforce & customers), productforecasting, inventory roll-out plan, sales tools, etc.

  • Cross-functional Team Member – Partnerswith cross-functional stakeholders including Medical Education, Sales, Finance,R&D, and others to deliver maximum effectiveness of the Marketingorganization. Partner with Integrated Brand Marketing, Customer & FieldMarketing and Tradeshow groups to build promotional plans around key events andprovide on-site support. Partner closely with Sales Teams to gather input oncustomer needs and ensure strong alignment with product and company strategy.Be responsive to requests from customers and sales.

Qualifications:

Must be able to effectively participate on cross-functional teams to support the commercial strategy and execute the tactical plans; understand and communicate commercial and competitive implications of complex technical/clinical/regulatory data, and interact with R&D colleagues on scientific issues; demonstrate excellent strategic thinking and strong communication skills.

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degreeis required, with 3-7 years’ experience;

  • MBA with a focus on Marketing,Strategy or other related topic is strongly preferred.

Experience:

Required:

  • At least 3 -5 years of work experiencein medical device, consumer marketing, or related field

  • Experience working with customers

  • Solid understanding of marketingfundamentals

  • Sense of urgency and big pictureorientation with attention to detail

Preferred:

  • Product launch and experience inworking with global teams

  • Strong understanding of softwaredevelopment or experience bringing software products to market

  • Consumer product marketingexperience

  • Global experience

  • Development and launch excellencefor new products, services and programs to the healthcare community

  • Successful interactions with keycustomers and sales force

  • Payer and patient advocacy experience

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Experience with AI, deeplearning a plus

  • Experience with breastimaging or medical imaging in general a plus

Additional Details:

This position requires up to 25% domestic travel, including overnight and weekend travel.
