Hologic Facility Mechanic in Marlborough, Massachusetts

The Facilities Mechanic will provide and execute facility maintenance service activities that will complement Hologic and its mission, goals and objectives. This position will provide support to the existing facility team with a broad range of responsibilities. Customer service, the ability to work independently, and a strong work ethic is a requirement to fit into the facility team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.
Perform routine duties associated with general repair and maintenance of the facility. Duties would include drywall repair, painting, systems furniture modifications, lamp replacement, small plumbing repairs and various facility related tasks to support the business.
Provide hands on support for internal and external facility moves.
Organization and inventory of facility furniture.
Provide routine on call assistance as required.
Provide building maintenance services through PM’s and WO program(s) as well as maintains records.
Coordinate and provide direct support to contracted services related to facility support, i.e. housekeeping, pest control, HVAC, electrical, etc.
Provide multi-facility maintenance support when required.
Provide direct support to workstation reconfiguration needs.
Coordinate and support building maintenance activities provided by landlord or Hologic affiliated contractors, i.e. generator, HVAC, compressor, etc.
Organization, inventory, and re-order facility related safety and maintenance supplies as the business requires.
Comply with all company policies and procedures including safety regulations, Personal Protective Equipment requirements, Standard Operating Procedures, Quality System Regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Provide direct support and participate to our Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements including weekly and monthly maintenance tasks
Support insurance required human element procedures for fire alarm shut-down, hot work, and sprinkler valve checklists.
- High school diploma required
Minimum of 5+ years in a maintenance background
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Must demonstrate excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Must be able to effectively approach and prioritize multiple tasks at any given time.
Basic understanding of facility operations
Ability to work and complete assignments with minimal supervision
Occasional lifting of up to 70 lbs
Experience FDA regulated environment preferred

Lifting/moving and carrying products weighing up to 40 pounds.
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration and/or moderate noise levels.
Exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials.
