Responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks involved in the shipping of materials, supplies, and equipment. Prepares orders for shipment and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.
Responsible for picking, packaging, and preparing product for shipment.
Perform shipping duties for all aspects to include small package, LTL and international
Works with other members of the Distribution team to ensure all orders are prepared and shipped daily.
Process field sales orders (trunk stock) and title transfers
Receive and process Customer returns within Oracle, report on open returns and work with Customer Support and Finance to resolve
Maintain and publish monthly metrics package
Publish and update organization on daily backorder status
Assist Distribution supervisors in responding to Customer Support requests
Execute daily cycle count program.
Maintain inventory of shipping supplies, initiate purchase orders and work with suppliers to release product as needed
Support of weekly freight payment and allocation process
Perform upgrade and patch testing for Oracle operating system
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Operation of basic material handling equipment i.e. electric pallet jacks, shrink wrapping machines
DOT Hazardous Materials training preferred.
Previous warehouse and shipping experience with on line carrier interfaces
Flexible, team orientated individual who can work with minimal supervision
Neat, well organized, with ability to manage multiple tasks in high paced distribution environment

Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Lifting/pushing/pulling and carrying products weighing up to 45 pounds
Potential Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration and/or moderate noise levels.
