Job Summary:

Hologic is seeking a Marketing Sciences & Analytics Manager to lead a major area of significant responsibility on the Global Marketing team within the Diagnostics Solutions (DxS) business unit.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the team's effectiveness, speed, and agility to ensure that the DxS business unit is equipped to make well rounded, cross-functional decisions that make a significant impact on the business unit’s identification and execution on future mid- to long-term growth initiatives

  • Lead or assist with, in conjunction with the Strategic Marketing and/or Commercial Excellence department(s), the procurement and management of market research initiatives and reports sourced from primary and secondary sources. Includes the internal management of external consulting engagements, vetting secondary sources and materials received from existing Hologic vendors, as well as sourcing new information, on an as needed basis

  • Perform summaries of findings from secondary market research (e.g. third-party syndicated reports, Wall Street analyst reports, etc.) and communicate to appropriate internal customers (e.g. Global Marketing, senior management, etc.)

  • Provide marketing analytics support using best practices and, where appropriate, align common analysis work and knowledge-share across the broader, global Hologic business

  • Take an active leadership role in the development, refresh and general management of all major financial models across the DxS business. Also includes developing and training internal power users on modeling best practices and methods

  • Participate in organic and inorganic opportunity evaluations and take the lead in providing financial modeling support, as well as other relevant marketing analytic input

  • Partner with Marketing and Finance personnel product line forecasting on a quarterly basis to ensure forecasting quality and consistency across franchises within the DxS business

  • Manage an existing SharePoint portal that is used to house all important Marketing Sciences materials and provides a one-stop resource for internal customers (e.g. Marketing, Business Development, Finance, Executive Team, etc.)

  • Participate in M&A opportunity evaluations on an as needed basis throughout the year

  • Promote and articulate the Marketing Sciences (MS) department vision. Align MS structure and processes toward that vision, and inspire team members outside of MS to meet all objectives and consistently help to achieve superior results for the business

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, economics, statistics, or similar

  • MBA a plus

Experience:

  • 4+ years of medical device and/or biotech industry experience, preferably in the field of molecular diagnostics

  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail

  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) is mandatory

  • Proven ability to derive findings and recommendations from quantitative analyses and communicate effectively to senior leadership

  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues, build trust and consensus, and influence the actions of others

  • Prior direct experience in strategic planning, strategic marketing, management consulting, and/or investment banking is a plus

Additional Details:

Help to inform, influence and shape the strategic direction of multiple Hologic product lines and development programs. Provide quantitative marketing support to all on-market and contemplated new business lines within the DxS business segment. Assist in developing and maintaining mid- to long-term financial models across the DxS business using appropriate forecasting methodologies. Assist in the development of materials for the annual strategic planning process as well as on an ad-hoc basis with the analysis of potential organic and inorganic growth opportunities. Provide competitive intelligence, market sizing, segmentation, targeting, and positioning in conjunction with other departments to help support new product strategies, as articulated through the use of business cases, business reviews, and presentations to senior leadership. Perform M&A transaction analyses and other Business Development support, as necessary, throughout the year.
