The Imaging Account Manager is responsible for achieving and managing territory business targets, while developing and maintaining effective customer relationships for Hologic’s imaging product and services. The Imaging Account Manager will prioritize and call on Hospitals, Cancer Centers, Imaging Centers, Private Practices, National Accounts, IDNs, to sell, influence and negotiate mutually acceptable agreements with new and existing accounts. Build strong relationships and collaborate with other team members, building appropriate strategies to meet the needs of the customer. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key thought leaders in their territory and keep abreast of and leverage trends in the market place to develop territory business. Coordinate site visits and provide hands-on demonstrations to customers to maximize acceptance and confidence in the use, procedure or application of Hologic’s products. Represent Hologic at key academic meetings and trade shows. Coordinate the delivery of equipment and application process.

  • Manages business need of customer not just the sales of the product.

  • Collaborates with other Hologic team members to achieve desired customer outcomes.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of customer’s business and financial drivers, the health care field, competitive products, legislation and disease states.

  • Builds and leverages relationships at all levels and networks both internally and externally to achieve desired results.

  • Spends more time listening than talking in all customer interactions by asking relevant questions to understand their strategies and goals to provide mutually beneficial business solutions.

  • Builds strong relationships with internal team members and external contacts based on trust and communication.

  • Develops, manages and negotiates new and ongoing purchasing agreements with key accounts and high volume users in territory.

  • Determines what is relevant to different audiences and applies to deliver high impact presentations and make compelling cases.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

  • Knowledge of the health care industry and experience selling to hospitals, imaging centers, and private practices is important. Experience selling biomedical, medical device or imaging is a plus. A 5+ years track record of high sales performance (Top 20% of peers year over year) has even higher weight.


  • College degree preferred (BS desirable)


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of successful medical sales experience. Clean driving record and ability to enter Magnetic Resonance suite w/o impacting health.

Additional Details:

  • The Imaging Account Manager is accountable for assigned territory and other areas as assigned by manager.

  • The Imaging Account Manager’s impact will be based on the customers and thought leaders in the territory and their internal peers /team members and other corporate resources to achieve desired customer outcomes and company and territory goals.

  • The Imaging Account Manager, in consultation with their direct manager, will be expected to properly define customers business problems and develop effective solutions based on information, facts and evidence with minimal support. Is self-directed in driving to meet and exceed business objectives, within bounds determined by their manager.
