Reports To: Manager, Process Transfer

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting in the support of launched/approved products and operations processes and the creation and transfer of manufacturing processes from R&D to Manufacturing and continuous improvement of existing processes.

Responsible for the development of new processes, transfer to manufacturing and continuous improvement of existing processes. Provide process support to Manufacturing and other Operations Groups. Responsible for Pilot & Development Manufacturing activities.

ROLE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produces notebook, pilot and production materials per written instructions.

• Supports execution of process validation of new and existing manufacturing processes under supervision.

• Assists with troubleshooting experimentation required for projects.

• Troubleshoots minor manufacturing process problems.

• Supports the development of manufacturing processes for transfer to Manufacturing.

• Keeps accurate records and documentation.

• Creates and submits simple standard operating procedure (SOP) changes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Typically Requires 8 GCSE's A-C grade (One in Biology and One in Chemistry) and 4-6 yrs related experience desired or 3 A levels (at least one science related) and 2-4 yrs related experience desired or BS Degree and 0-2 yrs related experience desired

• Working knowledge of GMP/GLP.

• Problem Solving

• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
